I
am so excited about this new opportunity to serve with Youth with a Mission
(YWAM). YWAM has been around for 50 years, and now I find myself in the right
place at the right time as YWAM Ships OC has two sailboats we will be taking to
Micronesia for outreach. The ships are big enough to carry a full outreach team, and small enough to get into the remote islands that can only be reached by
boat. Check it out at www.ywamships.net. We will be sailing throughout Micronesia,
picking up teams from islands with airports, and taking the love of God to
isolated Islanders. We will provide assistance with medical teams, education,
communications, and most of all transportation.
Throughout
the last 7 years that I have been living in Hawaii, God has connected me with
all kinds of resources and organizations from scientists to senators. I feel so blessed to be able to use my skills
as a Licensed Captain and a Certified Teacher, and my experience sailing and
teaching in the Pacific, to give back to the people of Micronesia.
I will keep you posted as this voyage unfolds through newsletters and posts on my blog. http://www.sailorann.blogspot.com. I believe that I am called to “go” to Micronesia. I need “senders” to partner with me through prayer and financial giving. This is a step of faith for me--I believe that God will provide for each step along the way.
